OVERVIEW
The CCC Blitz - South is a 9-round US Chess and FIDE rated blitz tournament, featuring a $600 prize fund. To make the most of your day, you can pair this tournament with the CCC Rapid - South held earlier in the afternoon for a complete day of fast chess.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Participants must be US Chess members.

Limited to the first 62 to register.

Registration for each event closes 15 minutes prior to round 1 if not already full.
BLITZ SCHEDULE

Registration closes 4:45pm.

Rounds: 5:00pm then ASAP, Blitz ends ~7:15pm.

Players rated 2200+: Free entry ($25 deduction from prize - no deduction for GMs, IMs, 2400+)

SPECIAL NOTES
- All equipment provided - must use our equipment.
- Event US Chess and FIDE blitz rated – FIDE membership (no cost) will be created for new members.
- Live US Chess regular OTB ratings used for pairings and prizes. At the TD's discretion, USCF Blitz, Quick or FIDE ratings may be used if higher than USCF regular.
- Accelerated pairings are possible.
- Refunds: $5 fee for refunds before the event; $10 fee for same-day; no refund after event begins
- Byes: Players may take up to 2 optional half-point byes, must request before round 1. Byes allow a player to skip a round they cannot otherwise attend. All byes requested during the tournament are zero points.
