OVERVIEW
FIDE Saturdays is a US Chess and FIDE rated tournament with an $800 guaranteed prize fund. FIDE Saturdays is open to all players, but there is a registration cap of 42 players.

SPECIAL NOTES

Byes: If you need to skip a round, you can request (1) half-point bye in the Top Section or (2) in the U1700 section. Byes must be requested at registration or via email before the tournament starts. Once the tournament begins, all requested byes are 0 points.

Limited to the first 42 entries.

Registration closes at 10:00am or when the capacity limit is reached.

US Chess live ratings used for pairings and prizes.

100-Point Rule: Must be within 100 points of next section to play up (e.g. 1600+ to enter Top Section). This is a strict cutoff based on live USCF ratings.

Games are US Chess and FIDE-rated for the appropriate rating systems (FIDE rules apply).

Any games involving a player rated 2400+ FIDE are not FIDE-rated.

Weighted sets, digital clocks provided for all sections.

Accelerated pairings may be used at the director's discretion.

Refunds: $5 fee for refunds before the event; $10 fee for same-day until 10:00am; no refunds after 10:00am.
