OVERVIEW

Join us for a very special day at the Charlotte Chess Center as we welcome world-class Grandmaster Peter Leko. Peter is visiting the CCC to dedicate a day in loving memory of Grandmaster Daniel "Danya" Naroditsky. This unique memorial event will celebrate Danya’s life, legacy, and profound impact on the chess world through the eyes of a chess legend. Whether you knew Danya personally or were inspired by his teachings and games, this will be an unforgettable day of chess and remembrance.

HOW IT WORKS

• Special Memorial Lecture (Approx. 2 hours): GM Peter Leko will share personal stories of meeting Danya, along with deep dives into important games and memorable moments from their encounters.

• Blitz Challenges: Following the lecture, Peter will stay and play blitz chess challenges against all attendees!

• Honoring Danya: All proceeds from this event go directly to the Naroditsky Memorial Fund, which supports the annual Naroditsky Memorial Rapid and Blitz event as well as the Naroditsky Fellowship.
